My 2007 calendar Children's Faces of ALS has just been sponsored! This calendar was made for the ALS Association (Florida Chapter), to raise money and awareness about Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, more commonly known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, which attacks neurological system, causing loss of voluntary control of muscles. The calendar featuring children who lost or are currently losing someone to ALS as models is now available for sale through the ALS Association.

Below are samples from the calendar:

Children's Faces of ALS - Front Cover

Clara Singer, Ryan Singer

Clara Singer places a protective hand on her great grandson, Ryan Singer. It's been 6 years since Clara buried her son, Robert, who lost his life to ALS and was thereby precluded from putting his own protective hand on his grandson, Ryan, who was named after him.

Children's Faces of ALS - May 2007

Kristin Radi, Courtney Radi, CJ Radi, Zach Radi

It was always Grandma Jackie who took the Radi kids to the beach. Now that they lost her to ALS, they like to bring her picture with them when they visit the ocean because it's the only way they can still spend a day at the beach with her.

Children's Faces of ALS - July 2008

Carrie Lynn Coffill, Jennifer Coffill

As a single mom, Jennifer takes pride in her daughter as her greatest accomplishment. Now that she has ALS, the many challenges of motherhood pale as she contemplates her hardest moment when she will have to say goodbye to Carrie Lynn, leaving her for someone else to raise.

Children's Faces of ALS - January 2008

Ryan Muniz, Jason Muniz

Ryan and Jason never got to meet their grandfather because ALS took his life before they were born. After Grandpa Jose died, their father started a butterfly breeding business in his honor, releasing butterflies into the world to bring hope and joy to everyone.

ALS is a terrible disease and its solution is very important to me.
